Mascara

Mascara is makeup that enhances the look of lashes and is usually brushed on with a wand. One popular beauty search on the internet is, “What is mascara used for?” It’s most often used to make lashes look longer, lusher, and bolder—and there are many different Clinique formulas that accomplish that.

Clinique has mascaras for every lash look. Bestseller High Impact™ Mascara comes in both waterproof and non-waterproof formulas. Lash Power™ Long-Wearing Mascara vows to look pretty for 24 hours without smudging. Naturally Glossy Mascara adds sheen to your lashes, while Chubby Lash™ Fattening Mascara plumps them up.

Mascara can be used to create a variety of effects. At Clinique, we develop formulas in different shades to help enhance natural lash colors, though you may also find it in colorful shades like blue or purple to compliment one’s eye color. A tip for lighter lashes: If yours are blonde, you may want to try a brown mascara for a natural look.

First, apply one coat of Lash Building Primer and let it dry before swiping on mascara. Next, wiggle your favorite mascara wand into the base of your lashes, and then wiggle it up and out. Giving the base of your lashes a good coating of mascara makes them look lush and can help define your eyes. Add a second coat for extra drama.
